Next New
I'm not even sure if this is possible but I would love if there was an app where you can scan food and automatically see what the ingredients are, along with the nutritional values. It would show things like what vitamins are present in the food, sugar amount, salt amount, fat, etc. This app would also be able to save lives since it can allow people with serious food allergies to be aware of what they are about to eat. Additionally, an app like this would be great for people who are trying to lose or gain weight, since they can always keep track of how many calories and other things they are eating.

Wiki So Far
So far, I have added information in two different sections. Under the dance page, I added information about a popular dance move that is currently in trend under the section of "dance trends." I am a dancer so this was the first page that caught my attention. I gave information about the dance move "the floss" which is still in trend today.
The second thing I added was information about VRV under the Entertainment page. This was added in the video streaming section. VRV is one of my favorite sites to stream the latest animated movies and my favorite anime episodes so I thought it would be nice to share this information. Besides that, I have made minor changes to paragraphs written by others which needed grammar and word corrections.

P2P
File sharing is the sharing of files such as pictures, songs, videos, documents, movies and more, through the use of a computer through the internet. P2P (peer to peer) however, is one way people can receive or send files of their choice. An example of a P2P method is BitTorrent, which is a program that allows people to upload files, and also allow others to find and download certain files that they are looking for from another person's server or computer. In short, it is the sharing of files with the use of programs/software where people are able to upload and download files among each other.
Although many benefit from P2P sharing such as allowing people to watch movies for free, it is still unethical to some. Movie companies aren't too happy when movies are pirated and everyone can view them illegally. An example of this can be found in the article "Digital Pirates Winning Battle With Studios" by B. Stelter and B. Stone. When the movie "The Dark Knight" hit theaters, millions of people were able to download it illegally with the help of "pirates."

Advice
If I had to give advice towards improving Baruch, I would suggest that professors make more use of social media to teach and engage students. It would be really nice and helpful if more professors uploaded Youtube videos or perhaps weekly videos on the course's social media page, explaining class material. Everyone learns differently, therefore I think some students would benefit out of watching and re-listening to lectures or further explanation of the course's topic. Also, having the lecture material online, would really be useful especially when students missed a class due to sickness or an emergency. These videos would help keep students on track, instead of them falling behind on material.

Privacy
New media technology has so many wonderful benefits but unfortunately, there are many risks when it comes to our privacy. Anything we put out into the internet is no longer private, even if it is shared on our "private" Facebook account. That shared information no longer belongs to us. Information about our interests, dislikes, lifestyle, and habits, are all stolen just so that we can receive more and more advertisements. We lose privacy once photos and videos are uploaded onto social media sites. It is important to be careful of what we put online since embarrassing and inappropriate things can come back to haunt us, especially when trying to get a job. There is also the risk of things like identity theft and fraud when people share passwords, social-security numbers, and other confidential information through the use of e-mails or other online services. Hackers are always on the watch for these type of information. There's also people who post things like their house address and current location by "checking-in", which can be seen by strangers and poses a safety threat. We must keep in mind of what we post online and limit shared information, especially the things we would like to remain private. A private account does not actually mean privacy.

Creativity and New Media
There's many ways I engage in the use of new media to share my ideas and explore new ways to create things. For example, I usually post comedic skits onto my Instagram frequently. However, to change things up a bit, I decided to try something new. This is my first time using SecondLife and I already find it so interesting! I tried exploring different destinations to get a little more familiar with this virtual world. I'll definitely be exploring more so that I can start trading and get into groups.
Here are some screenshots I took with my avatar:

Creativity
There are tons of ways in which new media fosters creativity, whether its for educational, personal, entertainment, or business purposes. A great example of this can be found in the article "Disney Tolerates a Rap Parody of Its Critters. But Why?" by Brooks Barnes. YouTube users took different clips from popular Disney and Nickelodeon animated shows like Winnie the Pooh and Sponge bob Square pants and dubbed them with the audio of "Crank that" by Soulja Boy. Even a Nickelodeon spokesperson approved of this by giving permission to continue making these type of comedic mash ups and also complimented the editing work. This is a good example of how new media allows us to use and express our imagination in order to create funny and creative content. Platforms like YouTube has been the go-to sites for years to see the newest comedy videos created by people just like us. Thanks to new media, we have so many options to choose from when it comes to getting our ideas out there to the world.
